Virtual Medical Assistant (Triage & Cognitive Assessment)

Job Overview:

The Virtual Medical Assistant supports patient triage and cognitive assessments, ensuring accurate documentation and clinical coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect patient chief complaints and medical histories.
• Perform medication reconciliation and update medication lists.
• Complete screening assessments in the EHR (anxiety, depression, fall risk, dementia, cognition).
• Update allergy, medical/surgical, and social history in EHR.
• Add care team members and pharmacies to patient profiles.

Specialized Tasks in Cognitive Assessment:

• Review schedules to identify patients eligible for cognitive assessments.
• Create encounters documenting HPI and plan of care.
• Assign accurate ICD and CPT codes for CA encounters.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong communication and engagement skills.
• Clinical knowledge to accurately perform screenings.
• Typing speed of 30+ WPM.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Eagerness to learn and apply new skills.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Healthcare background or relevant experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Workdays: Monday – Friday
• Work Hours: 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM PKT (Night Shift)
