Collection Specialist

Job Overview:

The Eligibility, Verification of Benefits (VOB), and Collection Specialist ensures accurate insurance processing, timely authorizations, and efficient collection of outstanding patient balances. This role is critical in supporting seamless revenue cycle management and providing excellent patient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced eligibility checks and verification of benefits.
• Obtain prior authorizations and referrals as required by payers.
• Manage patient balance billing and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Execute collection activities in a professional and patient-friendly manner.
• Maintain accurate documentation and update patient accounts promptly.
• Collaborate with front desk, billing, and clinical teams to ensure workflow efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong understanding of insurance plans, authorization, and referral processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Medical degree preferred.
• Prior experience in healthcare eligibility, VOB, or medical billing/collections is an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Workdays: Monday – Friday
• Work Hours: 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM PKT (Night Shift)
• Gross Salary: (PKR) [To be disclosed]
